Blanca is an Elite Stylist with 25 years of experience – 9 of them with Aveda – and she’s still loving every minute! “I have a passion for cuts and color, customizing each style for a refreshing and modern look,” says Blanca. She keeps fit due to her love of exercise, and enjoys reading and cooking authentic Mexican dishes. Blanca also owns a salon in Mexico.

Diana has 12 years of experience in the industry, working in New York, California, Minnesota, and Hawai‘i. She loves to help people look their best, so they feel their best! Diana’s work has been inspired by fashion, and her travels around the world. On her days off, Diana enjoys all outdoor activities, such as running and swimming, and she also loves yoga and cooking.

Yong has many years of experience with Aveda. She dedicated her life to the art and craft of hair, and, along the way, had great mentors who shared their knowledge. “I’m just trying to do the same thing with others,” says Yong. Her specialties are cuts, color, hair extensions, and straight perms. Yong graduated from Hollywood Beauty College, and also studied at Vidal Sassoon Academy in New York and Minneapolis. Yong’s hobbies are yoga, hiking, ice skating, drawing and healthy cooking.

Scotty began his hair and beauty journey 30 years ago in Michigan. Scotty has been an Aveda Educator and enthusiast since 1988. Scotty is a precision cutter that has years of training and experience with multicultural and multi texture hair. Scotty loves to make his guests feel beautiful and be confident.

Mika has 12 years of experience as a hair dresser and graduated from Matsumoto Beauty School in Japan. Mika specializes in haircuts that are customized for a persons face shape. She really enjoys creating hair styles with texture and face framing. Mika’s goal for every service, is to create a happy and smiling guest.

Augusto is a graduate Of Paul Mitchell School Honolulu with 15+ years behind the chair. He loves doing all kinds of hair color and perming. Working at Ho’ala feels like a relaxed yet elevated atmosphere for him. Outside of work he enjoys performing drag and burlesque, traveling, trying different foods, and exploring astrology.

She specializes in curly and textured hair, and loves doing creative color and dimensional blonding. She loves the friendly work environment at Ho’ala as well as meeting new people from around the world. In her free time she enjoys making music, spending time with family, and going to the beach.

Heidi is a native to Hawai’i and has been in the beauty industry for over 30 years. She started at a luxury spa, working with many exclusive skincare lines, before joining Aveda in 2000. She loves the fact that Aveda is primarily plant based and has been around long before “going green” became a trend. Heidi has been trained extensively with the Aveda product line and is one of the trainers at Ho’ala. She had the privilege of visiting the Aveda Institute and Headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Outside of work, Heidi enjoys drinking coffee, hanging out on the North Shore or driving around our beautiful island with her family, then drinking more coffee!

Lani has 3 years of experience as an aesthetician. She attended Honolulu Community College’s Beauty & Cosmetology Program, and trained with Aveda. She enjoys making her guests feel and look better. She loves that her job allows her to help people and give them a moment to relax and rejuvenate. Lani enjoys spending time at the beach with her family, and
lying in her hammock reading a fashion magazine.

Judith is a Licensed Massage Therapist, and has 8 years of massage experience working in Hawai‘i. She really feels good about making her guests feel better, and enjoys interacting with all of the people she meets. Judith loves reading and watching funny movies.

Kristen has over 13 years of experience in massage therapy. She has practiced in Portland, Oregon as well as on our neighbor island of Kauai. Kristen enjoys helping others through massage feel as fully relaxed and vibrant as they can be. She says her work has been inspired by “educating clients with individual tools that carry lasting results far beyond my massages.”

Megumi has over 6 years of experience in the nail salon. She pays great attention to detail, and likes to deliver serenity to each of her guests. She can see them relax a great deal between the time they meet, and when she is done, and that gives Megumi a great deal of happiness. On her days off, Megumi enjoys relaxing and watching TV.

Esthetician and Nail Artist. Satoko has 8 years of experience working in a spa. Before working in Hawai‘i, she also received training in ultra-stylish and hip Harajuku in Tokyo. “I love what I do!” exclaims the always smiling Satoko. “Providing the best services & greatest experience at our salon is my passion!”
Satoko says that she truly believes that service has to come from the heart. She commits herself to doing her best for each guest she meets. In Japanese, this philosophy is call “ichigoichie,” and she lives by it. Satoko really appreciates all her guests’ support and warm friendship. In her free time, Satoko enjoys cooking & reading books.
